The online shop is where every pen begins, and for now it is the surest place to buy one. A few shops carry it as well. This page tells you which, what they tend to hold, and what to do when a shelf is empty.
How we sell
One shop, and a short list of shelves.
We sell direct. That is not a strategy so much as an admission: we are small, we pack our own boxes, and every pen we send is one we have held. Anywhere else you find it, somebody chose to put it there.
Below is what that means in practice — where to buy, what a shop can do that we cannot, and where we are deliberately absent.

1Buying direct
Every finish, the SneakPrint printer, the paper and the gift wrapping are here, in one place, all the time. Orders leave the workshop within 48 hours, tracked, free over $50.
Buying direct also means the return, the warranty claim and the reply to your email all reach the same small team. Nothing is passed along.
2What a shop can do that we cannot
A shop lets you hold the thing. You can feel the weight of it, twist the crown, look through the window and decide in ten seconds what a photograph takes a week to tell you.
What a shop cannot always do:
- Hold all three finishes. Most carry one or two.
- Stock SneakPrint. The printer takes more shelf than the pen, and not every shop takes it.
- Engrave, or print a first scroll for you. That is done here.
We do not set anyone else's prices, and we cannot see anyone else's stock. Ring ahead if you are making a journey for it.
3Where we are not
We do not sell through marketplaces, and we do not supply anyone who does. If you find a SneakPen listed on one, it is either second-hand or it is not ours, and in the second case the warranty will not follow it.
The tell is usually the kit: a real one arrives boxed with the printer and the paper, and the finish is named Midnight, Daydream or Heirloom.

4A pen bought in a shop
The two-year warranty is the pen's, not the receipt's. Buy one from a shop on this list and a fault still comes to us — keep the proof of purchase and write to [Email]. The terms are the same ones on the warranty page.
Changing your mind is different. That is the shop's own returns policy, and their counter is the place for it. Our 30 days apply to what we sold you ourselves.
5Markets, fairs and pop-ups
We take a table somewhere occasionally, usually in winter, usually badly organised. When one is arranged it is announced in the letter and nowhere else, because there is rarely enough notice for anything more formal.
Nothing is scheduled unless it says so here. We would rather this page were quiet than have you turn up to an empty hall on our account.
Cannot find it anywhere
Write to [Email] or use the contact page. Tell us the city and we will say honestly whether there is a shelf near you or whether the post is your best route.

Stock, prices and opening hours belong to each shop, not to us. If a shop on this list has stopped carrying the pen, tell us at [Email] and the line comes out the same week.
